Lab

I lead VLab, a research and design lab in the Department of Design at The Ohio State University. VLab focuses on making complex knowledge more accessible through visual communication. Collaborating with researchers and user communities, the lab translates intricate data into clear, engaging insights through static and interactive infographics, information design, and data visualization. Its work spans print, digital, and hybrid media, with activities that include research, prototyping, implementation, and community engagement.

We collaborate with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, OSU College of Medicine, the Department of Biochemistry, and other partners on interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of design, health, and science.
